love our kittens

kittens are fragile and need special care. we need to make sure they are in a safe place, away from traffic areas in the house..
  • watch over the kittens after their birth. leave them with the mother to make sure the kittens are feeding from her
  • get them used to our smell and contact- this will help socialize them
  • prepare for the progression
  • feed them specially formulated kitten foods. feed them lots of different flavors and textures
  • do not take away from mother under any circumstance until at least 8 weeks old
  • give them a lot of toys, as they learn to play

5 things we cannot recycle

it is good for us if we can put bottles and papers in recycling bin. but not all things can be recycled.for instance :
  1. pizza boxes- the cardboard boxes can be contaminated with the oil from pizza, making it impossible to be processed
  2. napkins and paper towels- these things are used to wipe up food, cleaning
    products and others
  3. sticky notes- not suitable to be recycled because of their size, colour and adhesive strip
  4. plastic caps- cannot be recycled, but can be turned into packaging new product
  5. wet papers- they are shorter and less valuable to paper mills

we cannot just recycle. we must educate ourselves about recycling rules.so, start saving our world now..

the formation of malaysia

as the merdeka day is coming nearer, let us look back at some history that lead malaysia to independence.
the federation of malaysia, comprising state of malaya, north borneo, sarawak and singapore was to be oficially declared on 31st august 1963 on the 6th anniversary of malayan independence. indonesian and philippine oppose the formation of malaysia, so the date was postponed to 16 september 1963.indonesian opposition later escalated to military conflict. indonesia considered malaysia as a new colonization on the provinces of sarawak and sabah in the island of borneo which they laid claim on. a referendum was organized to assure indonesia that malaysia is not a form of neo-colonialism. people of sabah and sarawak give support for malaysia and cleared the way for the final proclamation of malaysia. the formation of the federation of malaysia was anounced on 16 september 1963, but the independence day celebration is still held on august 31

american nastia liukin ties for top score, but settles for silver

both of them got the same score but it's olympic.only one person will take the gold.
based on gymnastics' convoluted tiebreak system, china's gymnast won the gold medal and nastia liukin of u.s deserves silver in uneven bars final. scoring good mark, but not winning the gold medal, liukin must be very sad. to qualify in such a big game, she have to sacrifice to perform well. no one can describe her disappointment, and the 19-year-old gymnast will remember this moment forever. but, winning a medal in olympics, no matter what colour it is, is not easy. if liukin was sad of her silver medal, it shows how she strive to get what she want, that is the gold medal. for some people, winning only bronze will be a great happiness.
but not for this girl who never satisfy until she get what she want...

student arrested for dumping newborn baby

what will be our expression if one day we found a baby in the toilet in our hostel?
we might think that this situation willl never happen because a university student
is someone educated who does not involve in doing stupid thing. at ipoh, a newborn baby
was found in the hostel room of the institution of higher learning previous days.
an 18-year-old girl was admitted to being the mother of the baby. this situation shows that
college students nowadays are exposed to many horrible things if they do not know
how to survive in the college or university. it is important to us to make the target on what we
want to archieve, so that we can concentrate on it. hopefully there will never be anything that
can stop our ambition in university

life at ump - things i never think of..

when i was in matriculation in kulim, i felt terrible because that was the first time i was far away from my family. i cannot focus on my study and my friends around cannot help me. 5 months after that, i feel more and more comfortable there, and when i received the offer from ump, i thought i will take the same period of time to be satisfied. but i was wrong. after the orientataion was over, everything went great and i never feel 'homesick'. my roomate, classmate and friends are very kind. i can focus on my study and i enjoyed the activities that were organized. it was a busy time, but i cherish every moment i spent here. my family, especially my father was glad to see that his youngest daughter has grown up. i hope that day by day, my life here will be more amazing, and i will remember them forever...

A National Heritage

A National Heritage-The Star Online

The development of our country makes our tradition slightly fotgotten day by day, especially by the younger generations. With the set up of the Yayasan Tuanku Nur Zahirah (YTNZ), we hope that this is the perfect way in order to maintain our traditional art and crafts, for instance, songket, that is one of our precious crafts. Women and teenagers are exposed to skills about songket . Besides, YTNZ will help to increase the income for under-privilleged communities. This is also the best way to intoduce our tradition to foreigners as the songket are also exported to other country.
